Adult Acrylic Painting  Learn technique and expressive methods with Scott Debus on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 for six weeks beginning

Feb 3rd and April 14th for $120 plus $25 supplies.  Beginners and experienced students are welcome.  Scott Debus is a familiar force in the local arts scene with works in various galleries and venues.  He also curates and co-organizes Kulture Klash, the multimedia arts show that's become a must-attend event on Charleston's social calendar. This class is held at Trident Academy off Whipple Road (just around the corner from Creative Spark!)

Mosaic Tile  Learn the art of mosaic with Kimberly Calkins.  You will create a mosaic tile project from start to finish including texture and glazing your own tile designs.  Mondays from 9:30am to 12 for 6 weeks beginning March 1st & April 19th.  $130 plus $30 supplies.

Adult’s Night Out with Clay!  Want to enjoy an evening away from life’s responsibilities?  Away from the kids?  Come relax and get messy with clay!  Enjoy some music and adult conversation as you learn hand-building and wheel techniques from 6:30 to 9pm. Morning Clay  Hand building and wheel experiences for adults who would like to learn basic techniques and create functional art.  Instructor, Michaela Kuhn.  Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:30 to 12pm for 8 weeks beginning the week of Jan 14th and March 16th for $165 plus $25. Additional bags of clay are $20. Open Studio for Potters   For experienced potters desiring studio space to produce their own ware which will be fired for them by Creative Spark’s staff.  Fee includes glazes, firing and supervised studio time with Liv Antonecchia.  Potters must purchase clay from Creative Spark’s staff ($25 first bag and $20 additional bags).  Clay is fired to cone 6.  Potters who enroll may come any open studio time listed with 24 hour notice.  $25 per session or purchase five for $110.  Available studio times will be: Mondays from 7 to 9:30 PM and Saturdays from 10:30 to 12:30 beginning Jan. 4. Concrete Sculpture Workshop

Learn to make a Concrete Statue in this 2-Day Workshop. Folk artist Wouterina Riana de Raad teaches her own techniques not offered in books or schools. During the first day of this workshop, participants will make a multi-layered metal armature, which will be cemented in the following day. You will learn how to cut and shape metal lath and how to use reinforcements. There will be a demonstration on various cementing techniques, discussions on cement formulas and what pigments to use for coloring cement.   This workshop requires no previous experience.  Each participant will leave with at least one finished piece.  You will need to bring a metal cutter, 7” linesman pliers (electrician pliers), and a pair of thin garden gloves with a nitrile palm.  You may also want to bring a lunch.  All other materials are provided.  Visit www.concretemosaicsculpture.com to learn more about this amazing artist!  Sat March 20th from 10am to 5pm and Sun March 21 from 10am to 12pm for $340 per person.  Registration Deadline is Mon, Feb 22nd
