SPROUTS Children's Theatre
Creative Spark is proud to welcome SPROUTS Children’s Theatre! SPROUTS is a company of professional artists performing FOR children. The winner of countless international awards, SPROUTS productions are performed throughout the world, and the shows have recently been translated into their fifth language.
SPROUTS originated in Boston in the 1980s, and has grown into a library of more than two dozen original musicals designed for audiences ages 4 and up. The collection of musicals were adapted from classic fairy tales or developed as original material by Artistic Director, Stan Gill. These engaging shows run between 45 and 60 minutes, and cast size varies from five to fifteen. Most shows contain five to nine musical numbers. They all have lively audience-participation sequences and high-energy chase scenes, both of which are SPROUTS hallmarks. Bring the family to these wonderful family performances! Tickets are $10 per person or by the entire series for $8.50 per person! Friends of Creative Spark are always only $8.50 per show. All shows are for ages 4 & up unless listed otherwise. Asheville Contemporary Dance presents “Fables”
A camel in a tutu, a crow convincing a bear that cooking pots are the latest in fashionable headgear, an ostrich falling madly in love and an arrogant lion humbled by a tiny beetle. ACDT's production of "Fables features unusually juxtaposed creatures that dance, talk and tell stories with morals. Fri., Jan. 29 at 10 AM for $5 per child. Accompanying adults are always free.

The Plantation Singers
The Plantation Singers is the Southeast’s most popular gospel and percussion singing groups.
They are renowned locally, nationally and internationally for their singing of the music
of the Lowcountry. This group of very talented women is special in that each has a lifetime
of musical experience that began with the music of the southern church. The
The shoe tapping, hand clapping, and sing along atmosphere causes the audience
to smile big, hug their neighbors and ask for more.
Available to come to your school Feb. 8 to 12 $600: All ages and audience sizes.
At Creative Spark on Feb. 9 at 10 AM for $5 per child. Accompanying adults are always free.
Saturday, Feb. 20 at 2 PM A free public performance by the Plantation Singers
will take place at Battery Gadsden Cultural Center on Sullivan's Island.
The performance is part of the “Island Fun” series which is sponsored
by the Town of Sullivan’s Island, Poe’s Tavern, Bobby Cummings
Financial Services and produced in cooperation with Creative Spark
Center for the Arts. All ages are welcome.

process though a skillful blending of audience participation, comedy, mime and theatrical

Science Laugh and Learn
Called, “A great science lesson” and “Educational as well as entertaining” by schools across
the country, this program brings alive optical illusion, chemical magic, miracles of lights and
electric wonders in a spellbinding, action packed demonstration.
Friday, April 23 at 10 AM for $5 per child. Accompanying adults are always free.

Creative Spark's Amazing Race!
Come blaze the bike trails of Daniel Island looking for clues and completing tasks to win
the Amazing Race. For over three hours, teams of four bicycle riders consisting of either
four adults or at least one adult and children will ride the bike trails of Daniel Island in search
of clues. At each sponsor’s stop contestants will have to complete a task to get the next clue.
Big prizes and big fun with proceeds benefiting Creative Spark’s outreach programs.
Date TBD $90 per team of 4 people.
