“Enjoyed Hansel &Gretel very much. Terrific hit with the kids!” - Warren Lieb,

“My girls and I LOVED it.  It kept everyone's attention with just enough fright for a  lot of laughs, they are already very excited about the next one!” - Connor Kern

“My family attended the Friday night showing of Hansel and Gretel and we all loved it!  The whole cast was just so talented and we loved how they engaged the audience.  This was such a wonderful production that entertained and impressed my young daughter, son and teenage daughter.  We will be planning to attend all shows.” Michelle Dyman,

“Yes – Hansel and Gretel is a good time - it is a terrific show. The production crew did a great job with the stage, lighting and costumes. The actors/actresses are animated and accomplished singers – not only were the kids mesmerized, but there was a lot of laughter and clapping for the adults in the audience as well. Next time I’ll sit, Indian-style, up front with the kids.”-Michael Midvedt

“Adding to the enthusiastic reviews, Jen the kids and I also went Sunday and had a great time.  Bryce (almost 5) was laughing and loving the music and Ella (7) had an equally good time.  Jen and I were laughing out loud as well.  Great acting, singing and staging.” - Tom Noren,

I would like you to know that I will be donating twenty five dollars to Creative Spark Center for the Arts. I recently receieved an award at my school for being the most creative and free thinking individual and I attribute part of it to Creative Spark. I have been taking guitar lessons from Paul for 4 years and he has been a major influence on my life and art. For this reason, I would like to contribute ten percent of my award to your center.

Sincerely, Sam Gutshall, 14

"Dear Chinese Acrobats,
You were amazing. How did you get so good? Wonderful! Just great! I heard people saying they thought you were robots. The talent, flexibility, and your balance. You were great! Perfect! I loved the unicycle! Oh and I really loved when you guys spun, passed, and tossed the table."
-From Stephen, age 7

"I enjoy going to Creative Spark because I enjoy music/ I also enjoy piano and ensemble lessons. I am finally learning how to play the piano! I also am learning new skills on the viola. It is very fun. I find Creative Spark to be an enlightening experience."
Sincerely, Matt

"Dear Carol,
We want to thank you for providing such a wonderful preschool program and helping our daughter attend through scholarship assistance. The Magic Sparks program is an ideal setting for our daughter and we have been nothing but pleased with the environment, instruction and setting. Your staff does a tremendous job encouraging our daughter’s creativity expression while nurturing her independence. She loves school and looks forward to school days with an eagerness we hope continues throughout her education.

Creative Spark and the Arts Commission have had a long relationship serving the needs of school children and community members through classes and performances. Recently, we were thrilled to congratulate Creative Spark on being awarded the only Creative Communities grant in South Carolina and one of only twenty in the country. This grant will increase Creative Spark’s ability to provide sequential arts instruction to underserved populations.
As one of only two National Guild of Community Schools of the Art’s members from our state, Creative Spark has been an example of what a successful entrepreneurial non-profit organization can accomplish. We at the Arts Commission have shepherded Creative Spark’s growth from an idea to a comprehensive program whose vision for enriching the community’s artistic life is rich and diverse."
Marion G. Draine
Regional Coordinator of the S.C. Arts Commission

"I’m a middle-aged mom who found herself unexpectedly singing in the Church choir and needing to improve my singing as much as possible. I learned a variety of exercises to help with everything from breathing to reaching notes from different places in my throat and mouth, from inflection to tone and pronunciation, to name a few. Every lesson was packed with useful information that was given in such interesting, inspirational ways, as well as in ways that I could actually absorb, learn and improve."
-Emily

"The programs offer opportunities for our students to expand their thoughts on the acceptance of cultural diversity. Our school is pleased to be a part of Creative Spark Center for the Arts."
-Bonnie Dill, Project Director, Cainhoy Elementary/ Middle School

"Every day you are helping to enrich our students’ lives by providing enhanced access to and opportunities for participation in the arts."
Nancy J. McGiney, Ed. D., Charleston County School District

"Seeing and hearing such different children together in a creative environment lifted my hopes. It was one of the best moments I’ve experienced since moving here."
-Terese Scarrit Shelton, Parent

"I'm just back from the PTA performance and WOW! That was amazing! The kids were awesome! They really did a fabulous job and everyone loved it. I'm so impressed with how much they've learned in such a short period of time--a testiment both to Fode's ablilities and the kids' enthusiasm for the class.   They  really seemed to be enjoying themselves and the audience definitely loved it. Fode has made a great connection with the kids and I'm so grateful to everyone who has made this class possible. I can't wait for the Spoleto performances.
Thanks everyone!"

"John's methods aren't traditional.  There are no books.  Instead, he takes the time to find each student's potential.  He customizes lessons for each student instead of using the same method across the board.  I know people who thought John was too quirky for them but I think they have all made a mistake.  John's individualized lessons are the best thing for a child's progress and we couldn't be more pleased with him."

"John finds a common interest with his students and uses that bond to develop a relationship with them.  It really shows in the way that Ben loves his lessons with John and his time at Creative Spark."

"During recitals every single one of John's students were comfortable and proud on stage.  Also, you could see how much John loves his students and how proud he is of each and every one of them."

"Ben has several classmates who take lessons with John or participate at Creative Spark.  His yearbook is filled with praises about his talent, music, art, John and Creative Spark in general."
"We forget how important some places are to us because our lives are so busy.  But what would we do without Creative Spark?!"
